Creating and Adding a Page to the Menu Bar

At the top of your site, you’ll notice a black menu bar that looks like:

Each of these menu options brings you to a new page of your site. You can create a new page and add it to this menu bar. It would serve a different purpose than a in your Grid, Highlights, or Look/Listen.

Some examples include:

  • If you’re an activist, you might want to create a page specific to that work. If you’re.
  • You have “dance children” you’d like to showcase and talk about.
  • Outside of your performing arts career, you’re a poet or educator and you’d like to dedicate a page specifically to that part of your experience.

How to Create/Add a New Page: Written Instructions
  1. At the top of your page, you’ll see a small black bar.

  1. Click on “Customize.”
  2. You’ll see a column come up on the left hand side.
    1. Click on “Menus,” which is halfway down the column.
  3. You’ll see new options come up.
    1. Click on “Main Menu.”
  4. New options will come come up.
    1. After “Look/Listen,” click “+ Add Items.”
  5. A second column will appear to the right.
  6. Halfway down the column, you’ll see “Add New Page” in a white box and to the right an “+Add” button.
    1. In the white box, add the name of your new Page.
  7. Click the “+ Add” button.
    1. The Page you added will now appear in the left most column. This means it’s been added.
  8. To move your Page to a different order, click on the new Page and drag it to the order you’d like. Release the click when it’s in the position you want.
  9. When you’re done, go to the top and click the blue “Publish” button.
  10. Click the x on the top left to leave and go back to your site.
Edit Name/Delete a New Page: Written Instructions

No longer want the new Page you added? Want to change the title of the Page?

  1. At the top of your page, you’ll see a small black bar.

  1. Click on “Customize.”
  2. You’ll see a column come up on the left hand side.
    1. Click on “Menus,” which is halfway down the column.
  3. You’ll see new options come up.
    1. Click on “Main Menu.”
  4. Find the name/box of the Page you want to edit.
  5. Click the down arrow in Page’s white box.
  6. In the white box under “Navigation Label,” change your Page’s name OR click the red “Remove” text to get the Page off your menu.
  7. When you’re done, go to the top and click the blue “Publish” button.
  8. Click the x on the top left to leave and go back to your site.
