Cyma\u2019s story is a one-woman play that I created from three previous full length plays that covered Cyma\u2019s journey as a teenager in 1913 Russia to her young adulthood in 1922 New York City to her life in Shoshone, Wyoming in 1939. Cyma\u2019s Story takes place in Shoshone when Cyma learns of war breaking out in Europe. The \u201cghosts of Europe\u201d come back to haunt her happy life in America with her longtime partner Rachel. In the midst of writing to the family she left behind but has yet to hear from, her memories return in flashbacks to her life in Sherstagrad, her meeting with Rachel in New York and the scandal that led them to their life in Shoshone.<\/p>\n
