Kim\u2019s range and interpretation of Shylock rivals his presence in \u2018Tamburlaine the Great\u2019 two years ago.\u2026\u201d \u201c\u201dVENICE\u2019 REPRESENTS APT\u2019S FINEST\u2019\u2026Randall Duk Kim is magnificent as the tragic Jew, who is in a position to lose not only his daughter but his money. This is perhaps Kim\u2019s finest performance yet and must be seen to be believed. He brings to the role such majesty that Shylock\u2019s scheming is all the more sinister. He is not the weaselly, cunning money-lender as many have painted him. He is human, all too human. And it is this humanity that Kim brings to his portrayal.
