It\u2019s something you can\u2019t explain. Some people bring happiness with them wherever they go. That\u2019s Rosetta.<br \/>&nbsp;<br \/>AMAS is Latin for \u2018you love\u2019 and love is what Rosetta is all about,and the name of&nbsp;her Musical Theatre Company. I\u2019m auditioning for Madge Wallace, Harry Truman\u2019s mother-in-law, in The Buck Stops Here.<br \/>&nbsp;<br \/>I sit at the table with Rosetta and we talk\u2026talk about the creative arts and how they bring people together. One reason I want to work in theater is the opportunity of being with people of all ages, personalities, races, cultures, shapes and sizes. It\u2019s a university of human experience.&nbsp;<br \/>&nbsp;<br \/>Then Rosetta tells me a story about Eubie Blake \u2013 her mentor. He advised her:&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Look at the flowers in that yard.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Why are they beautiful?&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Roses, Iris, Tulips, all different colors.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Look again what do they have in common?&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>They all have green stems.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>People are like flowers.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>They are different, but the same.&nbsp; &nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>We are God\u2019s flowers and God didn\u2019t want just one kind of flower.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>He wanted a bouquet.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>What kind of flower do you want to be?<\/strong><br \/>&nbsp;<br \/>Rosetta smiles: <em>\u201cWhat are you going to sing for me today?\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.amasmusical.org\/founder-rosetta-lenoire\" rel=\"noopener\">If you would like to learn more about Rosetta Le Noire please click on this link<\/a><br \/><br class=\"Apple-interchange-newline\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u201cCome sit down, tell me how your day is going.\u201d&nbsp;Not the usual greeting you hear at an audition, but then Rosetta Le Noire is not the usual producer.
