I’m told I was the first ethnic actress to play the role of Luisa (The Girl) in The Fantasticks. Six nights a week, after performing in The Fantasticks, I was the featured singer in the Back Room of the\u00a0 Caucus Club in Detroit.\u00a0 \u00a0The first time I sang in the Back Room of the Caucus Club in 1962, William Gregory walked in and asked if I would like to come back to Detroit and play Luisa in the Fantasticks!\u00a0 Of course I said Yes on the spot!<\/p>\n
