La MaMa E.T.C. was founded more than fifty years ago by the amazing Ellen Stewart. It was one of the earliest Off-Off Broadway theaters. Located on East 4th Street in Manhattan. it has expanded into two buildings on the block and a third, used for rehearsals and readings on Great Jones Street.

I was back at La MaMa E.T.C. as an actor, where I had performed many years earlier and where my first effort at playwriting was produced.

Reflections / Significant Moments

This was an exciting opportunity to work with Susana Cook, a colleague I have long admired. It also allowed me the opportunity to answer the question, "Would a convent take a Jewish girl?"
