“Steeplechase” was a favorite project of mine. Workshopped and developed off and on for almost 30 years. Book by John Pielmeier. Music by Matty Selman. Different casts included Cass Morgan, Donald Corran,, Robert Cuccioli, Harry Groener, Mia Dillon, Adinah Alexander, Michael Greenwood, and Mana Allen. Mana and I performed the juvenile lovers in every incarnation beginning at New Dramatics in NYC and later developed at the New Harmony Project in Indiana under the artistic directorship of Anne D. Shapiro. A wonderful musical that never got a full production. What did come out of this special show were beautiful friendships that have lasted a lifetime and nothing is better than that.
