THE TRAILBLAZERS

Left to Right: Joan Jeffri (Director, Research Center for Arts and Culture), George Bartenieff, Susan Lehman, Len Cariou, Mary McColl (Executive Director Actors’ Equity), Ricard Masur, André De Shields, Virginia Wing, Michael David Arian, Gilda Mirós, Augusto Machado, and Vinie Burrows.

Joan Jeffri and Mary McColl were there at the very beginning (2019) and selected these first 10 inductees to be a part of The Performing Arts Legacy Project.

Susan Lehman, who I’ve known since we did our first professional job together at the Starlight Theater in K.C., Missouri in 1961, recommended that I get in touch with Joan to be a part of the Performing Arts Legacy Project.  I sent her a photo and resume and followed it up with an interview and the rest is history.  My Performing Arts history.

Thank you Joan for all of your expertise, encouragement and support and for the legacy that you’re leaving to all of us and future inductees who will be a part of this amazing project.

I’m so grateful for help along the way with tech (navigating through the Word Press software) , proof reading, editing suggestions, photo & video permissions and clarifying memories from these talented, knowledgeable and caring friends:
