Review Excerpts

“COMEDY OF A NIGHTMARE….As the humble and troubled Prince Myshkin, Randy Kim gives us a comprehensive picture of a man around whom all the activity revolves. It is through his mind that we perceive the other characters, and if Kim were less strong and sympathetic the play would not be even as comprehensible as it is. He leaps about the stage with acrobatic dexterity and from confusion to madness to fear before getting an epileptic seizure with equal agility. It is one of the best performances in town at the moment.”

“The plot concerns a Christ-like innocent Prince Myshkin, the perfect humnan being, who suddenly goes crazy after living among a motley crew of bitchy women and villainous gentlemen. In short, with caricatures. Randy Kim is truly charming as the whimsical epileptic Prince.”
–Louise Lague, WASHINGTON DAILY NEWS (2/23/1972)

“…in a canny, intelligent portrayal, Randy Kim as the Prince becomes a catalyst of passion ever protected from passion and violence through the integrity of his affliction….As it stands right now, SUBJECT TO FITS is the most valuable performance in Washington, and for the first time this season, I’m urging people of all theatre tastes to see a play, this play.”
