I met Henry Afro Bradley at LaMaMa he played guitar and I played harmonica in Daddy Daddy.  We Joined forces as the Blues Duo. Above is a photo taken at the Shubert Theatre after performing for The Honor Legion. The photo features two Henry’s and Jay our equipment manager and yours truly.

In 1997 I was asked to co-host a Blues /Jazz format on WBAI radio with Tom Mitchelson a local  writer. Gutbucket Matinee continued into 2003. Many notable Blues and Jazz performers appeared on the show which featured interviews and live music. Notable musicians included Harold Ashby, Henry Butler, Shemikia Copeland, Uppity Blues Women, Aaron Bell, and David Honeyboy Edwards. Eventually Tom left the show and I continued to host. The show drew  attention and I was featured as a prominent advocate of the Blues in the New York area.
