In the late 50’s I formed and adagio ballroom act with a Russian women who had danced in The Corps de Ballet and Radio City Music Hall. We played several unremarkable toilets , but one summer we were resident artists at Coors Falls Lodge. We taught ballroom dancing by the pool every day, little old balding men in swim trunks, but enough hair on their backs that you could cornrow. Also overly tanned older women with dyed red hair lacquered stiff enough that if you touched it you would cut you hand, classy! On Saturdays we did one of our numbers, Mambo, Cha Cha, or Waltz. Usually there was a New York agent with a car. He would send up a girl singer, magicians, dog-actor whatever. They would play our place at 8:30, play the next at 9pm, the next at 9:30 etc. and then they would drive back to the city. We were a class act known as The Dancing DuBarrys
