What can I say about Bluebeard?

The “seduction scene” pictured here became a signifier for the Company.  This was an adaptation of H.G. Wells’s The Island of Dr Moreau. Mario Montez played Lamia the Leopard Woman and of course, made his own costume. Charles wrote of her entrance, ”Lamia the Leopard Woman comes in wearing too much leopard”.

Touring for Bluebeard brought us to universities in Santa Cruz, San Francisco, Los Angeles and Santa Barbra. We had a big SUV and Richard Currie did most of the driving. Santa Cruz was first. Before we even got to our hotel, a group of teachers and administrators from the theater department swept us up and brought us to a house with a hot tub. So we got naked, jumped in the hot tub, drank champagne and thought we had ascended to heaven. It was a wonderful beginning to a wonderful tour.
