You may see blue buttons popping around your site. Now is when we’ll start using them!

Highlight Page Buttons

When you click on your Highlights button in the black bar, you’ll see:

Moving left to right:

= All Posts: Click on this to see the status of all your Highlights, or posts. Green means you’re published. Yellow means you forgot to publish.

= Add Post: Click on this to create a new Highlight.

The Main Buttons (About, Highlight, and Look/Listen Pages)

When you’re in your individual Highlight, you’ll see these four blue buttons:

In fact, you’ll see these four buttons on your About Page, Highlights Page, and Look/Listen Page. They mean the same thing for each page.

Moving left to right:

= Edit Post: We’ll use this to add media and change the content and look of text.

= Post Settings: We’ll use this to add tags (i.e. key words), timeline dates, and featured images.

= All Posts: Click on this to see the status of all your Highlights, or posts. Green means you’re published. Yellow means you forgot to publish.

= Add Post: Click on this to create a new Highlight.

Edit Post Buttons

Regardless if you’re editing your About, Highlight, or Look/Listen Pages, these will all look the same.

= Exit Editor: Leave and go back to the “Main Buttons”

= Bold: Highlight part of your text you’d like to be bold then click this button.

= Underline: Highlight part of your text you’d like to be underlined then click this button.

= Italics: Highlight part of your text you’d like to be italicized then click this button.

= Strikethrough: Highlight part of your text you’d like to be strikethrough  then click this button.

= Insert Media: Click to add media.

= Headings: Highlight the text you’d like to make into a header and then click any of these buttons. Each “H” is a different size with H2 being the largest and H6 being the smallest. Note that H6 makes the text all capital letters.

= Linking: We’ll use this button to add links.

= Left Align: Your text will start on the left.

= Center Align: Your text will start in the center.

= Right Align: Your text will start on the right.

= Delete: This icon will delete your Highlight.

= Post Settings: We’ll use this to add tags (i.e. keyboards), timeline dates, and featured images.

= Save: This button will save any changed you’ve made. You’ll know when it’s saved when it displays a check mark.

= Publish: This will publish your Highlight onto your Highlights Page. It will disappear once you’ve published the post.
