Within the first year of the group in it’s professional formation, we had secured representation and were doing gigs all over NYC when we got signed to GRP Records- a contemporary Jazz label that had been started by producer Larry Rosen and composer/arranger Dave Grusin (see wikipedia links).

We received extensive radio play, both on the contemporary jazz radio station of the day, CD101.9 as well as WBGO, the traditional Jazz station in New York. We also received widespread airplay in all the major Jazz markets, in the US, Europe and Japan. This led us to working all the major Jazz festivals in the US and abroad.
