In 1983 Bolero received its world premiere in Tel Aviv, Israel with Batsheva Dance Company and The Israel Philharmonic. In 1984 the piece was re-staged for Peridance Contemporary Dance company’s inaugural season and consequently received its New York debut at the Riverside Dance Festival in 1986.
